Chris Monti has been a Therapeutic Musician in Hospitals for nearly 20 years.
As a Therapeutic Musician in the Healing Arts Department at Rhode Island, Bradley, and Hasbro Children’s Hospitals my goal is for me and my music to be a calming, soothing, and cheering presence to patients and their families as well as nurses, doctors, and other staff from the minute I walk in the door until the minute I walk out.
At Rhode Island Hospital and Hasbro Children’s Hospital I have the delightful job of strolling the halls playing soothing calming music on the guitar. I then visit and play (and sometimes sing) for individuals patients and their families.
At Bradley Hospital (a children’s psychiatric hospital) and in the Behavioral Health Unit at Hasbro Children’s Hospital I have the truly delightful job of playing songs and leading sing-alongs with children and teens.
My task as a Therapeutic Musician is to be a small yet effective part in helping patients on their journey toward healing and recovery.
