Afternoon y'all.

Hang in there everyone, the big thunderstorms is supposed to hit this afternoon. That should take care of some of this heat and humidity. And then you'll have to blame all your problems on something else. Like your folks, or high school, or MSG.

The dance band, Third Story Congress just got a last minute gig. We're playing this saturday (6/18/5) at the Blackstone in Cumberland with Private Tremendous and Uncle Everett. We are the first band, going on at 9 sharp.

I have to say the dance band is sounding pretty good these days:
The Reverend Jacob Haller on keyboards and vocals,
Fran "I've reached a truce with gravity" Brennan on electric bass and vocals,
Edward "Maybe I have so much gas because my diet is so bad" DeMille on electronic percussion and the virtual gong
And myself, Chris "The Resident Asshole" Monti, on electric guitar, harp and vocals

I have some monk friends who live up in Cumberland. I dunno if they are down with the Blackstone, but I'm going to do my best to get them to come to the show. I only mention this because the only thing better that getting the young women to dance is getting Peter John Boyle to dance, and the only thing better than that is to see the bald-headed men in the gray robes cuttin a rug.

Good luck making it thru till the rain comes.

Yours,
Chris
