Why won't my mechanic give me my car back? Why can't I get anything done today? Why did I just re-read Frank Zappa's autobiography for the 6th time? Why this sudden renewed interest in Robert Louis Stevenson? How did William Burroughs survive into his seventies? Will I ever make an appointment with the dentist? Will I really marry a librarian? These questions aside, I would like to thank everyone who came out to the Third Story Congress show last friday for allowing us to ROCK OUT in public again. The story of Alex vomiting in my driveway is forever immortalized on CD. We have a show this Thursday, December 2nd (MY BIRTHDAY) at the Century Lounge in Providence. Also Playing are the illustrious Private Tremendous and the industrious Smoothing Constant. The show starts at 9. The cover is five clams. No other form of shelled sea-creature will be accepted. Shawn Harris's attendance is expected, so that we can eject him at half-time. ALSO... a slightly mutated version of Third Story Congress will be backing up Plan B, a local rapper at AS220 on Thursday December 9th (NOT MY BIRTHDAY). Also appearing is Waterbed (a funk band) who will also back Plan B up on a few tracks. There will also be some other local rappers and at least one comedian to open the show. Allow me to clarify: Yes, Third Story Congress is playing a Hip-Hop show.
